What is the difference between a rocker and a bouncer?
Typically, a bouncer is a seat on a frame that your baby bounces by kicking his/her feet, and a rocker is a seat safely fixed upon a curved runner, that requires an adult to create the motion for the infant. Both offer vibration units that will help soothe the baby.
Do I need to buy both a swing and a bouncer/rocker?
Yes, because each item will serve a different purpose to assist you plus your baby will also reap the benefits of having multiple places to spend time. The swing is a great substitute when you are tired of rocking the baby and they are still fussy and the soothing motion will help calm them. Bouncers can easily be moved from one room to another (moving the bouncer with a child inside is not recommended), allowing a parent to keep an eye on the baby while getting chores done around the house.
